Mark Glover M.D was born in a small Texas farming community in north central Texas. He received his bachelor's degree in Zoology from Texas Tech University and continued his medical doctorate at Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock, TX. He completed general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
After residency he pursued a minimally invasive fellowship in San Antonio, TX with Texas Endosurgery Institute. There he learned advanced laparoscopic surgery techniques. He remained at Texas Endosurgery for the following year where he continued to teach advanced laparoscopy to other surgical fellows.
Dr. Glover has particular interest and experience in treating gastrointestinal disorders such as gastric reflux, hiatal hernias, biliary disease and colon malignancies. He is an active member of the American Hernia Society and participates in furthering the science of herniology with the AHSQC. He approaches the vast majority of abdominal pathology in a minimally invasive manner resulting in smaller scars, quicker recovery, less post-op pain and fewer complications.
